My name is John-Colin Namene better known as CJ. I know, you're probably thinking why CJ and not JC, well I really don't know. Plus CJ just sounds way cooler! I'm a first year student at the University of The Free State in Bloemfontein studying Communication Science: with Media Studies and Journalism.
I've been postponing the idea of a blog for as long as I can remember, without an actual reason. So I decided to start one just to help me grow with my writing and expose myself a bit out there. I don't consider myself a writer just yet, all I do is literally try and merge my ideas together in a beautifully embellished manner. So the idea behind this is to grow with my writing, bring back the culture of reading, create dialogue about a number of issues and expose other writers within my circle and beyond.
You know what gets to me? Word play. English. A language. Talk. I'm absolutely smitten with the sensation that results from the seductive capacity which allows me to appreciate and fathom the ability to grasp words with so much detail. This then allows me to work with my ideas. And in doing so, I paint a portrait that displays a touch of pulchritude, just as the words pose in that very moment they appear. In turn, English sort of galvanized the love for other languages as well. Just the complexity within a language. My bread and butter. Personally, there is no better story.
